Red spiders: Five z-Kom operatives for your Alien or Xeno games
Z-Kom operatives are the bread and butter of the Operational Militia that tries to keep the Xenos at bay. Their military training allows them to face even the biggest Xeno threats as long as they coordinate their actions. Inside Z-Kom, there is a special team that focuses on defending bases and hosting important projects for Z-Kom. The Red Spiders hunt down Xenos that infiltrate the bases and try to affect the projects that Z-Kom may be running. Using a mixture of traps, ambushes or technology, the Red Spiders are one of the most fearsome teams and are only called when there is something that needs to be destroyed or the risk of the Xenos is higher than the damage they can inflict.
All the Red Spiders have the following ability:
Environmental advantage: As long as they are fighting inside a Z-Komfacility, the Red Spiders increase their attack and Defense by 1 point.
Traps upon traps: the Red Spiders laid traps and countermeasure systems in the facility. Once per battle, they can trigger DEADLY WEAKNESS in any room in the Xenos. The Red Spiders can use the special Red Spider Weakness.
Codename: Chelicerae -A
The heavy weapon specialist of the Red Spiders. Chelicerae excels at using heavy weaponry against the Xenos. He is one of the few survivors of a past attack, and he, alongside Coxa -B are the only original member of the Red Spiders. He enjoys using the traps around the place and is skilled at triggering Xeno Weakness.
Veteran: Attacks twice per turn.
Front Gunner: He can activate one extra Deadly Weakness per round.
ATK: 11 DAMAGE : 2 DEF: 9 HP: 8

Codename: Coxa B
The leader of the Red Spiders. Coxa is an old soldier in a career that kills most people in the first months. He is unparalled in rallying people into battle or enduring battles with the Xenos. Unfortunately, so many battles have scarred him. He refuses to back down if there is a slight change one of his team members may survive.
Leader: While he is present, Z-Kom members won’t retreat and can’t panic.
ATK: 10 DAMAGE : 1 DEF: 10 HP: 7

Codename: Dipal -C
The hacker and remotes expert. Dipalp likes her bombs. She likes them a lot. She likes her bombs so much that she has rigged the place to explode. If she dies, a timer starts that blows up the place in 1 hour.
Explosives expert: She knows her explosives and, as such, is immune to any damage coming from explosions she is present.
ATK: 9 DAMAGE : 2 DEF: 9 HP: 7

Codename: Neret - D
Neret is tasked with setting up the traps in the facilities. He knows his way around any Z-Kom facility he is in, and can memorize new maps and changes in seconds. He is an expert ambusher and has laid out the best plans to incapacitate Xenos. He can prepare an adapt traps quickly.
Trapmaster: While He is present, they can trigger the “Trap upon Traps” ability once more per room.
ATK: 10 DAMAGE : 2 DEF: 10 HP: 9

Codename: Oculi- E
The resident is an expert in surveillance, sensors, and detecting Xenos. Oculi is rarely directly on the field, instead she communicates with the team through their coms. She has an array of sensors throughout the facilities and uses them to direct the rest of the team.
Eyes in the sky: While she is present, Z-Kom members are able to detect Xenos in the same room as them.
ATK: 7 DAMAGE : 1 DEF: 10 HP: 6

The Red Spiders are able to trigger the special Red Spider Weakness.
- You must Attack the operative closer to you.
- Your next Attack fails.
- Once you suffer this weakness, you are immune for the rest of the combat.
- You must move away from the Operative.
That would be all for today. In the next post, I will present a scenario where the Red Spiders are protecting a weapon from Z-Kom. Would you be able to defeat them? Let us know in the comments how do you plan to use them.
